New River Gorge
The bridge over the New River Gorge just northwest of Fayetteville, West Virginia. Completed in September 1977, it is 3033 feet long and stands 876 feet above the river. It changed a 45 minute drive on narrow country roads to a 1 minute jaunt across the New River. The supporting arch is 1700 foot long.
