Whale Dance
A humpback whale named "Split Fin" dances in the Strait of Juan de Fuca with Mount Baker in the background. The humpbacks like to slap their pectoral fins on the water for reasons not quite clear to marine scientists. It may be a way of communicating with other whales or may just be a means to remove barnacles from their fins and bodies. It is quite a display to behold!
