McCormick Blacksmith Shop

The blacksmith shop where Cyrus McCormick invented the first reaper in 1831. It is believed that the anvil in the photo was the original one used to make the parts for the reaper. The shop is located on the original McCormick farm in Rockbridge County, Virginia.
