The Southern Railroad FP-7 diesel locomotive powered up and ready to pull the excursion train at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC. This engine, built in 1950, was used by Southern Railroad to pull branch line passenger trains throughout its network. It was donated to the museum in 1980 and fully-restored.
