Cascade falls, near Pembrooke, Virginia offers quite a visual spectacle with its gently flowing waters coming over a 60 foot drop. If you are up to the 2 mile hike in and out, it is truly a sight to behold!

Just south of Coeburn, Virginia, this rails to trails hiking path follows the Guest River gorge all the way to its confluence with the Clinch River. It is a great place to hike or bike in any season of the year!
Fall leaf color frames the statue of the Wood Booger that stands next to the Flag Rock Overlook just south of Norton, Virginia. Known locally as the Wood Booger, the city erected the statue and the Norton City Council designated the Flag Rock Recreation Area as a "Wood Booger Sanctuary" folliwing a visit by Animal Planet's "Finding Bigfoot" TV show. In 2011, the show spent a week in southwest Virginia that features scenes from High Knob, as well as Washington County, Damascus, and Saltville. In other parts of the country, this elusive creature is know by other names, such as: Sasquatch, Yeti, and Bigfoot.
