No tracks have touched the new fallen snow on the bridge over Laurel Creek on the Virginia Creeper Trail near Damascus, Virginia. The Virginia Creeper Trail rests on the old railbed from the Norfolk and Western Railroad Abingdon branch, that extends from Abingdon, Virginia to the North Carolina border, a distance of 34 miles. The 17 mile portion from Whitetop to Damascus, Virginia is a heavily used biking trail during the time the shuttles are running from early spring until late into the fall.
